Sanchez Medical Center is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Bilingual Medical Receptionist / Front Office team member to join our established primary care practice in South Gate.
Fluent Spanish and English are required. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience working in a medical front office and is comfortable communicating with patients in Spanish regarding appointments, referrals, insurance, and general medical terminology.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients in English and Spanish.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Coordinate specialist referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments.
- Track referral authorizations and insurance approvals.
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
- Communicate referral requirements, appointment instructions, and timelines to patients.
- Maintain accurate patient information and documentation.
- Assist the front office team with general administrative duties.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English and Spanish — required.
- Minimum 2+ years of medical front-office / receptionist experience — required.
- Comfortable communicating medical information and terminology in Spanish.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a busy medical office.
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling systems, and electronic medical records.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus.
- Medical Assistant certification is a plus, but not required.
